Many of the readers must have read this news while havng sympathy for the parents as it is reported that girls ‘ran away” . Who among us have soft feelings for those ‘cursed’ girls ???… They were teen-agers or may be in their early twenties. Why were they working alone in some one’s house at the first place? Does our religion permit us to leave our young girls in the house of strangers?? Who knows what happened to them that made them to leave the house.
There can be following reasons behind their this extreme step.
1- They eloped with someone.
2- They were not happy there because of the behaviour of their masters.
3- They wanted to cross the ‘poverty’ line.
If it was the first case then who is responsible for that??? those girls ??? Was it a wise decision of their parents to send them alone to work place where they could not check their activities? Parents duty is not only to bring them to this world but also to provide them proper guidance and supervision.
Secondly It is very common practice in our society that we don’t consider those people human who work in our homes. We treat them like animals . From physical punishment to sexual harassment , these servants have to bear what their masters do with them fearlessly.
Thirdly May be they were sick of their low living standard. Hard work and meagre salaries. No flour , no electricity , no new clothes , no proper food and no peace of mind at their homes are enough factors to make them to cross all limits.
Our society is responsible of such acts taken by these poor girls . My sympathies are with them. May Allah keep them in His protection and make life easy for them.

It’s difficult to tell why they ran away. But keeping in view the huge families and limited sources of income young girls have to work as maids.
Besides someone has to investigate whether they ran away or have been abducted and kept in some place. You know all sorts of crappies things happen.
